Un cerebro que aprende

Un cerebro que aprende integra aportes de la neurociencia, la psicología cognitiva, la psicología educativa y las ciencias del aprendizaje para comprender de manera crítica los procesos que intervienen en la educación. La obra aborda la neuroplasticidad y las bases del aprendizaje, así como la atención, la memoria, el olvido, las emociones, la motivación y la curiosidad como dimensiones fundamentales para comprender cómo las personas aprenden. Asimismo, examina las funciones ejecutivas, la metacognición y la autorregulación, destacando la importancia de enseñar estrategias que permitan a los estudiantes planificar, monitorear y evaluar su propio aprendizaje. Desde una perspectiva fundamentada en evidencia científica, analiza también la relación entre neurociencia y educación, prestando especial atención a los neuromitos y a las simplificaciones sobre el funcionamiento cerebral. Finalmente, aborda los desafíos del aprendizaje en entornos digitales, la inteligencia artificial, las neurotecnologías, la privacidad, la equidad y la ética educativa, proponiendo principios para orientar prácticas pedagógicas rigurosas, reflexivas y responsables.
